The ultimate luxury!  This fine duvet made by Quilts of Denmark ticks all the boxes.  It is super soft, light, deeply filled and beautifully made. I should caveat that we  haven’t had the opportunity to sleep under one yet (unfortunately) but we tried it out in store and were extremely impressed.  The superb 100% cotton cover is pure white with gold piping which adds to the luxurious feel.  The filling feels evenly spread, light and fluffy and the in store expert informed us that she had one and it was really cosy and warm.  She also discussed with us the reasons that this duvet really stands out – the Canadian geese! Canada is considered the ideal climate to ensure that the geese grow a protective layer of huge and extremely fluffy down.  

The fill has been ethically sourced and is Downpass tested, as well as being NOMITE and Downafresh certified.  This offers reassurance to allergy sufferers that the strictest hygiene regulations have been adhered to and the cover has been tightly woven to resist dust mites.  Although the label does say it is machine washable, I personally would get it professionally laundered, partly because I will struggle to fit it in the machine but also because I would be fearful that it could be damaged in some way.  

The one and only negative I have found with this duvet – the price!  It is a huge investment at £465 for a double duvet. That said you get what you pay for and it is slightly less expensive than other premium quality down duvets.  I have been reliably informed that Quilts of Denmark supply The White Company with their luxury duvets and their Canadian Goose Down duvet does have a similar feel to this one just with a different cover and depending on sale offers, they are often around the same price point.
