Available in 3, 4.5, 7, 10.5 and 13.5 togs.
This White Company duvet is their entry level natural duvet. My daughter has it on her bed and after a few initial complaints about it being ‘crunchy and crinkly’ she now loves it and finds it ‘nice and cosy’. It is worth noting that she is used to synthetic duvets and so didn’t expect the noise you often get from feather duvets. She also frequently kicks off her duvet in the night and so we are relieved that this duvet is lightweight, so she can thrash away without getting tangled up and calling out in the middle of the night.
The predominantly feather filling (85% feather / 15% down) is evenly distributed in pockets so there are no cooler patches and the cotton cover feels thick and good quality with double stitched seams but maybe not as soft as I expected. Like all the White Company duvets it has buttonholes so if 7 tog is not warm enough for you, you can always add another and use it as an all-seasons duvet but just buttoning them together. My daughter doesn’t seem to feel the cold and feels comfortable and warm with this 7 Tog duvet even in the winter months but I personally need a higher tog for Winter. Thankfully this duvet comes in a wide variety of togs (3, 4.5, 7, 10.5, 13.5) so there should be something for everyone. I think for most 7 tog would suit the Autumn months best.
We haven’t washed it yet but the duvet is machine washable and can be tumble dried on a low heat. Personally, I think I will be taking ours to the dry cleaners just in case it doesn’t wash as well as expected. The final point I wanted to share is that this duvet comes with a 10 year guarantee which for a £60 duvet is pretty impressive.
