Smooth and silky to touch, the John Lewis Soft Touch Washable duvet is one of the best value microfibre duvets we have come across.  Snuggly and warm, this is a great Autumn / Winter option, although it also comes in a variety of togs from 4.5 to All seasons, offering something for everyone at any time of the year. Unusually this product offers good warmth and is also lightweight offering freedom of movement.  It achieves this as it is fewer grams per square metre than many other duvets despite achieving the tog rating.  This is certainly a positive and the duvet still has a full, bouncy feel with an evenly distributed siliconised polyester microfibre blend filling.  It can also be easily stored as it compresses well.  

The cover is soft to touch, as the name suggests, with simple stitching and no buttons or poppers that can be felt through the duvet cover.  The only negative we feel worth noting is that the polyester cover is not quite as cool or luxurious as a 100% cotton cover but with a duvet cover on, I feel this is a minor point and certainly wouldn’t stop me from buying this lovely duvet.  

One of the other key USP’s for this duvet is it is easy to care for and washes well.  Definitely a plus for children’s rooms and guest beds.  It is also quick drying which is great if you have regular visitors and need a quick turnaround.  My final point is that this duvet is made with hypoallergenic materials which is so good to hear given all the allergies in my family.
