Panda Cloud duvet

This is our third Panda bedtime product.  Having loved the Panda Luxury Memory Foam Pillow (Son) and Bamboo and silk infused eye mask (daughter), my husband and I were keen to try the newly launched ‘Cloud Duvet’. Our lovely new 10.5 tog duvet arrived promptly and was well wrapped and boxed to ensure it arrived in immaculate condition.  This gorgeously soft and silky duvet lives up to it’s name as it is certainly cloud-like.  To me, it feels like a down duvet but has a 100% organic bamboo cover with 50% bamboo and 50% nano microfibre filling.  This combination makes the duvet naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial which is great for my husband who is a dust mite allergy and hayfever sufferer.  It is also machine washable which if you have a big enough washing machine is fantastic.  Our cat often sleeps on the bed so it’s nice to give the duvet itself a regular wash and not just the covers!

The duvet is traditional white but has black piping around the edge and a Panda face in the corner which the kids love and it is a shame to cover it really, as it looks nicer than most duvets.  One other thing my husband particularly found was that he doesn’t seem to get too hot under this duvet, which has often been the case in the past as I like a high tog duvet all year round as I feel the cold.  This seems to be the answer for us.  It’s early days for us but our first impressions of Panda’s Cloud duvet have been great.  Until being introduced to their products, I had not experienced bamboo bedding before (I thought of it purely as Panda food!) but it seems to be an ideal material for bedding.

This is a good duvet choice for those looking for an environmentally friendly, hypoallergic luxury duvet. I think it will be a great hit with toddlers and older kids too due to it’s temperature regulating properties.

With very few bamboo duvets on the market, it will be interesting to see if this has the lifespan of a down duvet.  At £99.95 for a single duvet, going up to £159 for a super king, it is not cheap but I hope it will be a great long term investment.

The ‘Cloud’ meets OEKO-TEX standard 100 which means it has been tested for harmful substances and is also suitable for vegans.
